Kia India’s upcoming model launch will be the seven-seater Sorento SUV. The new full-size premium SUV will be launched via the CKD route, and the brand has already commenced its pre-bookings. The latest spy shots reveal the interior details of the Indian-spec Sorento, giving us a clear view of what to expect.

The interior design of the test car that was spotted recently is identical to the international model. The spacious cabin design gets a dual-tone tan-black leather upholstery treatment, along with premium details, including brushed aluminium accents, gloss black trim parts, and high-grade materials.
The dashboard features the new four-spoke steering wheel that the global-spec 2026 Sorento gets. It also features a dual-tone leather cover, while the physical control buttons for multimedia and ADAS are embedded on both sides. Additionally, it features a curved dual-screen display, which we suspect will offer a new UI with wireless features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, built-in navigation, AI-assisted voice commands, and more.
Other notable elements include wireless charging, a rotary gearshift knob, terrain modes, an electronic parking brake, a 360-degree camera view, an auto start/stop button, and ventilated front seat controls on the central console panel. The spacious seats get electric adjustment with memory function, while the front passenger seat gets the Bose Mode – a feature enabling the rear passenger to adjust the front seat via a button control.
The rear captain seats are equipped with smart features like seat ventilation, fast-charging Type-C ports, bottle holders on the door pads, sunblinds, a reclining option, and more. The rear passengers also get the air conditioning vents for additional cooling. The door pads also feature a BOSE sound system, which will elevate the overall cabin experience of the Sorento.
While the spy shots could not capture the third row, we can safely say that it will be similar to the international model. The rear passengers are likely to get separate air-con vents and USB charging ports, while the boot will get motion-based gesture operation control.
Online reports hint that the Indian-spec Sorento will get two engine options. The details about these are unknown, but we are sure that one of these will be a 1.6-litre hybrid engine with FWD.
Kia is expected to launch the Sorento in India before the Diwali festive season later this year. It will be positioned around Rs 35-40 lakh, rivalling the Skoda Kodiaq, Toyota Fortuner, and MG Majestor.
