Ola has stepped into the battery energy storage systems world today. The EV manufacturer has launched its first portable battery device, called Shakti. Read all the details below.

Ola Shakti: Everything you need to know about it
Marking a grand entrance into the battery energy storage systems world, Ola has introduced the new, portable battery Shakti. This device has been specifically designed to power big appliances, which include ACs, refrigerators, and water pumps for various purposes like farming and more.
Speaking of the details, the Ola Shakti is available in four battery sizes: 1.5 kW, 3 kWh, 5.2 kWh, and 9 kWh. The prices of these are as follows:
- 1.5 kWh – Rs 29,999
- 3 kWh – Rs 55,999
- 5.2 kWh – Rs 1,19,999
- 9 kWh – Rs 1,59,999
Mind you, the above-mentioned prices are introductory for the first 10,000 units. Moreover, the pre-orders are now open at Rs 999 only. The company claims that the deliveries will start by Makar Sakranti 2026.
With that said, this is a huge step for Ola as it was producing EVs for now, but this will expand Ola’s vision of ‘Ola Electric’, which stands for everything electric.
