What to expect from the upcoming Hyundai small EV?
As per the latest details, Hyundai is working on a compact electric car that will be based on the Inster’s platform. However, it will be shortened and trimmed as per the Indian market needs.
The latest details also reveal that it will be offered in two battery packs. These will include Standard and Long Range.
The Standard pack will be aimed at city commuters looking for an EV for everyday needs. Hence, it will get less range and a lower price. Meanwhile, the Long Range pack will be suitable for highway and long-distance users, but it will have a higher price.
Other key highlights will include a flat floor and a spacious cabin, which will be loaded with modern features in the typical Hyundai fashion. It will also get the Level 2 ADAS, which might make it the first in the segment to feature upon launch.
As of now, the launch timeline and price details are unknown. But, we assume it will be positioned in the same bracket as the MG Comet and Tata Tiago EV. Launch could take place sometime in 2027.
