The newly updated ZX-10R might look much attractive at first glance, but Kawasaki has made notable changes to the bike in order to make it more efficient and run cleaner than ever.

The first notable change is the addition of a new aerodynamic package that now features winglets on the side fairing. Meanwhile, the 998cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine is now Euro5+ emission-compliant. This has been achieved by placing a second O2 sensor, which leads to cleaner engine performance.

In order to accommodate the new engine emission changes, Kawasaki has reworked the chassis. Additionally, it features Pankl rods and pistons for better performance. In fact, the new ram air intake on the front fairing and winglets has increased 25% downforce as per the company.

Other changes include the addition of a new 5-inch TFT console that now offers navigation support and a cruise control – both features are first for the ZX-10R. Moreover, the bike now supports the Kawasaki Rideology smartphone connectivity app.

We expect the new ZX-10R to launch in India by the end of this year. The pricing will be hiked marginally due to the new features and improved performance.
