EICMA 2025: Ultraviolette launches UV Crossfade Helmet

Key highlights

  • India’s first carbon-fibre smart helmet with radar-linked alerts
  • Built in partnership with Cardo Systems, enabling rider-to-vehicle and rider-to-rider mesh connectivity
  • Priced at INR 19,900, compliant with ECE 22.06, DoT, and ISI safety standards

Ultraviolette has officially entered the smart gear space with the launch of its UV Crossfade helmet, a carbon-fibre shell packed with real-time radar communication tech. Unveiled at EICMA 2025, the helmet marks Phase 1 of Ultraviolette’s Connected Rider Ecosystem.

Developed in collaboration with Cardo Systems, the UV Crossfade allows rider-to-rider, rider-to-group, and rider-to-vehicle communication using mesh networks. It syncs directly with Ultraviolette’s radar-equipped motorcycles like the X-47 Crossover, F77 MACH 2, and F77 SuperStreet, delivering alerts from the bike’s onboard systems straight to the rider’s ears.

Smart Features

The UV Crossfade integrates Dynamic Alert Sequencing (D.A.S), which filters and prioritizes incoming notifications—whether it’s a blind spot warning, a radar ping, or a call from your riding buddy. The system decides what gets through and when, so you’re not bombarded mid-corner.

The helmet also supports remote phone calls, ride analytics, and geo-fencing, all managed through Ultraviolette’s app.

Build and Safety

The shell is made of carbon fibre with fibreglass inner layers, keeping weight down to 1380 grams. It meets ECE 22.06, DoT, and ISI standards, making it legal and safe across India and Europe. The design is sleek, aerodynamic, and built for long rides without neck fatigue.

Ultraviolette has priced the helmet at INR 19,900, which is surprisingly reasonable given the tech packed inside. It’s available now via their official store.

Ecosystem Rollout

The UV Crossfade is just the beginning. Ultraviolette plans to expand its smart gear lineup alongside its growing motorcycle portfolio, which now includes the Tesseract, Shockwave, and the radar-equipped X-47. The goal is clear: build a riding experience that’s connected, intuitive, and safer.
