Key highlights
- Spy shots confirm a triple-screen layout for the XUV700 facelift, similar to Mahindra’s newer EV cabin design language.
- Cabin gets a dual-tone black and beige theme, a redesigned steering wheel, and upgraded materials.
- Expected feature additions include a Harman/Kardon sound system, ventilated second-row seats, updated ADAS and a gear-selector dial.
Mahindra is quietly preparing a major interior refresh for the XUV700, and the latest spy shots suggest the SUV is about to make a big leap in cabin tech and overall refinement.
Triple screen layout takes centre stage
The biggest talking point is the three-screen setup sitting across the dashboard. One screen for the driver, one for infotainment and a third for the co-passenger. This layout mirrors the cockpit philosophy Mahindra introduced with its newer EVs, hinting that the brand wants to align its ICE flagship with its upcoming electric range.
The tri-display arrangement immediately gives the XUV700 a more premium, future-ready feel, pushing it closer to international SUVs that boast full-width digital dashboards.
Upgraded materials and new colour theme
The cabin also appears to carry a black and beige two-tone theme. Panels on the dash and doors seem better finished, and soft-touch materials may finally become more prominent across the passenger side. A new dual-spoke steering wheel with a lit Mahindra logo is also visible, marking a welcome step forward in visual appeal.
Comfort and feature upgrades
The XUV700 facelift is also likely to iron out small complaints from current owners. We could expect:
- Ventilated second-row seats
- Harman/Kardon audio system with improved speaker enclosures
- Rear window blinds
- Panoramic sunroof retained
- Updated ADAS suite, potentially with improved lane functions and auto parking
- A new gear-selector dial hinting at more focus on automatic variants
Engines and launch timeline
The existing 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines are likely to continue unchanged. Mahindra’s testing timetable suggests that this is a structured mid-cycle update, internally positioned to refresh the SUV’s package until the next generation arrives.
Some reports even suggest that the refreshed model may carry a slightly tweaked name like XUV 7XO but until Mahindra says something officially, the XUV700 badge is expected to stay.
