What to expect from the new Triumph Tiger 1200?

Updated Triumph Tiger 1200

The new spy shots of the updated Tiger 1200 test motorcycle have surfaced from the UK. The test mule seen here is the Rally version of the flagship ADV, and it bears a few interesting changes.

The first change that is immediately noticeable is the new front fascia with the monopod projector headlight and the new beak design that extends and merges into the fuel tank shrouds. The windscreen has also been updated in design, which is likely to be offered with adjustability and better air flow design.

The test motorcycle is also seen equipped with the radar-based module on the front and at the rear, which hints that it will feature the autonomous safety aids like the front collision detection and alert, lane change alert, emergency braking lights, adaptive cruise control, and more. It also has a new exhaust can design, which indicates that the engine has changed for better performance.

Additionally, the taillight design has upgraded from the single to the split setup on the new model. Moreover, the mirrors have also undergone a design change, as these will likely offer the blind spot monitoring feature.

We believe that the updated model is more likely a mid-life facelift, which will largely focus on the comfort and safety upgrades. It will continue using the current 1,160cc line-three liquid-cooled engine that makes 148 bhp and 130 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed transmission and gets a slipper-assist clutch with adjustable levers and a bi-directional quickshifter as an option.

The updated Tiger 1200 is likely to be launched by mid-2026 in the global market. It is expected to be introduced in India by Diwali 2026 with a slightly hiked price list.
