Tata Motors has announced the Bharat NCAP crash test result of the Sierra SUV. The mid-size SUV has managed to top out the safety crash test charts by flying colours. Read the complete details below.

Just a day after the launch of its new rival, the Renault Duster, Tata Sierra’s safety rating is out. The mid-size SUV has scored a 5-star overall BNCAP rating. The rating announced is valid for all cars manufactured from March 2026, and it also includes all variants.

Speaking of the details, it scored 31.14/32 points in adult occupant protection, while it received 44.73/49 points in child occupant protection safety tests, thus placing it in the 5-star category for AOP and COP. In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the Sierra scored 15.14/16 points, while in the side deformable barrier test, it scored 16/16 points.

The Sierra SUV also managed to score 23.74/24 points in the child occupant protection dynamic score, whilst the overall assessment of the vehicle stands out at 9/13 points. This makes it one of the safest vehicles on sale in India right now.

Tata has equipped the Sierra with six airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, hill-hold assist, e-parking brake, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS features, including the high-beam assist, 3D immersive head-up display, and more.
