Tesla Model Y L: Everything you should know
The new Model Y L is based on the standard Model Y, but it boasts a longer wheelbase of 3,040 mm. This leads to a substantial increment in size and space on the inside. Hence, Tesla has fitted six captain seats in the Model Y L, thus primarily targeting it for the chauffeur-driven customers.
The Model Y L is positioned between the already available two variants. It is priced at Rs 61.99 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it costlier than the standard model, but more affordable than the range-topping version.
The exterior design of the Model Y L is identical to the standard version, but the side profile features a longer rear door to access the rear passengers easily. Additionally, the glass area has been expanded on the sides for better visibility.
Powering the Model Y L or Long Wheelbase is the 88 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that offers blistering performance of 0-100 km/h in 5 seconds. The WLTP-claimed range of the Model Y L is 681 km. The Model Y L is also an AWD, which means that it features a dual-electric motor setup.
Other key features include the panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a 16-inch touchscreen infotainment, heated and ventilated front and second row seats, heated steering wheel, extended thigh support for the front passengers, wireless charging, and ADAS safety features.
