Volkswagen Taigun facelift deliveries soon
The new Taigun facelift was recently introduced in India at a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated SUV has now started to reach the official dealerships, and its deliveries are going to commence soon.
With the new facelift, the Taigun now brings a refreshed front fascia that features a connected LED light setup, a new grille, and a streamlined bumper. While the side profile gets the new 17-inch alloys, the rear offers a set of new connected LED taillights, an illuminated VW logo, and a redesigned bumper.
On the inside, it now features a new digital console like the Tiguan, and a bigger 10-inch infotainment screen with new features like wireless charging, electric front seat adjustment with ventilation, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and more. However, it misses out on the 360-degree camera and ADAS.
Under the bonnet, it features the same 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI engine options. However, the 1.0 TSI engine now gets a new 8-speed AT gearbox that replaces the outgoing 6-speed AT. Meanwhile, the 1.5 TSI engine is now available only with a 7-speed DSG transmission.
The top-spec Taigun facelift is priced at Rs 19.30 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with the new Skoda Kushaq facelift, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder.
