The all-new ID Polo is based on the Pure Positive design language of the brand. The car measures 4,053 mm in length, 1,816 mm in width, and 1,530 mm in height. It is based on the MEB+ platform, which is an 800V architecture.

In terms of design, the ID Polo draws inspiration from the original Gold Mark 1. The front profile features a sleek design with full-width connected LED lights and an illuminated logo. The bumper features a streamlined design with vertical air dams on the extreme ends.

On the side, it boasts clean creases and flared wheel arches with alloy wheels available up to 19 inches. The C-pillar looks identical to the Golf, while boasting an integrated door handle for the rear doors. The ID Polo packs conventional door handles to pass the new Chinese guidelines.

The rear profile of the ID Polo has a streamlined design with the wraparound connected LED taillights and an illuminated VW logo. The rear bumper is also simple in design, as it packs a clean outlook with small air dams for aerodynamic efficiency.

Interior and features

On the inside, the ID Polo features a simplistic design with a light theme. The dashboard features a two-spoke steering wheel with physical controls, while the large 13-inch floating infotainment screen offers features like wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, OTA updates, etc.

The 10-inch digital driver display is another interesting bit. It has an analogue design with twin digital needles for speedometer and battery/electric motor power consumption. The retro layout of these dials is inspired by the first-generation Golf. However, customers can configure the layout of the driver console as per their taste.
