Nissan has added the much-needed CNG kit option to its Gravite MPV. The three-row MPV is now available with a retrofit CNG kit at the dealership level. Read its complete details below.

Nissan Gravite CNG: Everything to know before buying
The newly introduced CNG option on the Gravite MPV is available nationwide at Rs 82,999. The CNG option has been introduced via a retrofit kit that includes twin 25-litre CNG tanks, which are fitted at the dealership level. Currently, the CNG Gravite is available at 60 dealerships in India.
Speaking of the details, the CNG kit is government-approved, and it has been developed by Motozen. The latter also offers a warranty on the complete kit of up to 3 years or 1,00,000 km, whichever is achieved earlier. It is a sequential BS6.2-compliant kit that comprises heavy-duty cylinders of 8.1 mm thickness, thus ensuring optimum safety.
The CNG fuel filler has been fitted under the petrol fuel lid, which makes it easier to refill. Meanwhile, the company has optimised the rear seat layout, ensuring that the 7-seater configuration of the Gravite remains intact even with a twin-cylinder CNG kit.
The CNG retrofit kit is paired to the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, petrol engine that makes 71 bhp and 96 Nm. It is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.
On the other hand, Renault is developing a factory-fitted turbo-CNG powertrain for the Triber MPV, which is expected to launch next year with more power and better efficiency.
