Royal Enfield Himalayan 750: Everything we know so far

The upcoming Himalayan 750 will be based on a new platform. The upcoming flagship touring bike of the company had already been teased in the past. However, the latest spy shots reveal a more production-ready form.

The test bike was spotted while the rider was saddling on it. The saddling position shows that the rider triangle is designed for comfort as the handlebars are upright and the footpegs are centre-positioned. Moreover, the sculpted fuel tank offers comfortable thigh support to the rider to easily control the bike.

Meanwhile, the test bike seems to be loaded with the touring accessories, which include the headlight guard, solid panniers, a touring windscreen, and 5-spoke alloy wheels, the latter of which suggests that there will be multiple variants. We have already seen the spoke rim variants in the past, and the alloy wheel variant suggests that it will be aimed at long touring.

The visible hardware shows the new twin-disc front brake setup, which will be standard equipment for all 750cc models in the future. Moreover, it gets the USD front forks, which we suspect are adjustable to a certain level. The bike will also get a six-axis IMU, thus offering features like cruise control, cornering ABS, and more.

Powering it will be the big-bore 750cc engine, which is expected to produce around 55 bhp. This engine will continue using the air/oil-cooling system, and it will be paired with the 6-speed transmission.

We believe that Royal Enfield will launch the Himalayan 750 by the end of this year in the global market. However, the brand is running behind its schedule, as the Bullet 650 still remains to be launched.
