Hyundai has been testing the next-gen Creta on the Indian roads with full camouflage for quite some time. The latest spotting of a test mule shows us that it will be bigger in size than the old model. Check out more details about the upcoming Creta below.

Important details we know about the 2027 Hyundai Creta
New platform, bigger size, new design
The latest spy shots of the upcoming Creta reveal that Hyundai will shift to the new platform. The next-gen Creta, seen in the spy shots with the old model Creta, is considerably longer and wider than the old model. All thanks to the new K3 platform, which is borrowed from the new Kia Seltos, the upcoming Creta will have a better road presence.
Meanwhile, due to the heavy camouflage, we can not easily predict its exterior styling cues, but the new LED taillights are visible. These look identical to the Hyundai Palisade, and we are hopeful that the upcoming Creta will take a lot of inspiration for its design from the new Palisade.
The size, as visible, is longer and wider, but the roofline appears flatter than the old model. International media reports suggest that the new-gen Creta will be slightly lower than the outgoing model. However, the new platform will offer a lot of interior space, especially at the back and in the boot area.
New interiors with Pleos infotainment
The previous spy shots of a test car in India have revealed that the new Creta will also pack the latest Pleos infotainment system. The latter made its debut this year on the Ioniq 3, which is essentially a single screen designed in collaboration with Samsung to control almost all the features of the car, even including the steering response, chassis behaviour, and suspension ride quality.
With that said, Hyundai will offer a completely redesigned cabin, new seats, more storage spaces, and premium upholstery with features like electric Boss Mode, a dual-pane sunroof, a wireless charging pad with cooling, dual-zone climate control, and added safety features to the existing Level 2 ADAS suite.
Hybrid engine coming soon
While the next-gen Creta will continue to offer the current engine options in India, the brand had earlier announced that a new hybrid version will also be launched. The introduction of a hybrid motor has now become more of a mandate for Hyundai, since the Renault Duster was announced with a hybrid engine for its debut later this year.
This engine is likely going to be a 1.6-litre unit based on the self-charging type of hybrid, something we are used to on the Toyota Hyryder and the Maruti Grand Vitara. This engine will focus on drivability and fuel economy.
When will the new 2027 Hyundai Creta launch?
The exact launch timeline of the next-gen Creta is unknown for now. We are hopeful that the brand will launch it in the early months of 2027, since the internal timeline is fixed for Q1 2027. With its bigger size, newer features, and hybrid engine, we expect the prices to be marginally higher than the outgoing model.
