Tata Intra V40 bi-fuel details

The new bi-fuel Intra V40 pickup truck is based on the standard Intra V40 itself. It does not get any design or feature changes, but the engine powering it runs on bi-fuel technology. The 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine on the new Intra V40 is now compatible with CNG and petrol fuels.

While petrol fuel is suitable for extended range, and offering support to cover the distance between CNG filling stations, its 110 litres of CNG tank capacity will provide a long range to the owners. The launch of a CNG-compatible engine will be a boon to new owners, since the fuel rates in India are consistently increasing.

On the technical front, the Intra V40 bi-fuel gets a payload body measuring up to 2,960 mm. This will be helpful to ferry various types of loads easily. Meanwhile, it has a payload capacity of up to 1,525 kg, which is more than enough as per the last-mile delivery pickup truck standards.
