Hero HF Deluxe Flex Fuel: Everything to know before buying it
The new HF Deluxe Flex Fuel is based on the standard E20-compliant model. It is priced at Rs 72,792 (ex-showroom), and visually it features a new Yellow-Lime and Blue graphic scheme on the fuel tank, headlamp cowl, and side panels.
The major difference between this and the E20 standard model is the engine itself. Hero has equipped it with more than 36 changes, which are mainly done to the fuel system, including the fuel pump, fuel lines, fuel tank, ECU remap, and more. These changes make it compatible with E30-E85 petrol.
Mind you, the E85 model can even run on 85% ethanol and 15% petrol mixture. In fact, it produces 8.4 bhp and 8.3 Nm if it runs on E85 fuel, which is 0.5 bhp and 0.25 Nm more than the standard E20-compatible model. Interesting indeed.
The list of features is not extensive, but Hero has fitted a new dual-pod analogue instrument cluster on it, which further features the Yellow-Lime graphics underneath the needles. The bike is priced comparatively higher than the base variant, which is Rs 13,315 more. But it is now future-ready to tackle the upcoming ethanol-petrol mix grades.
