Hyundai recently debuted the new-gen i20 hatchback in Brazil. With the inauguration of a new-gen model, Hyundai is now ready to bid farewell to the current generation model in the global market.
To bid adieu to the current model, Hyundai has launched a limited-run i20 N Shadow Edition in the Australian market. The Shadow Edition is limited to 100 units only, and the pre-orders are now open in Australia.
What makes the Hyundai i20 N Shadow Edition special?
Speaking of the changes, the new Shadow Edition is being offered in two exterior paint options. These exclusive paint options are matched with the bronze decal highlights on the lower side of the doors, and the all-new exclusive 18-inch forged Bronze Matte lightweight alloy wheels with black central caps.
While the rest of the exterior details remain unchanged, the Shadow Edition packs a few changes on the inside as well. It gets the Alcantara leather steering wheel and gearshift lever, while the floor mats have been carved out from the Pirelli P Zero tyres that are used on the i20 N. The Shadow Edition also features a numbered plate below the central AC vents, which specifies the individual unit number out of 100.
Mechanically, the car is unchanged. It is powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that makes 204 bhp and 275 Nm. It is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox, and it can sprint 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, while it offers a top speed of up to 230 km/h.
With that said, the new-gen i20 is soon on its way to the Indian market as well. It will offer a substantial upgrade in terms of design, features, technology, safety, and efficiency.
