- Pre-launch bookings for the new BMW 7 Series open today
- Customers can choose between ICE and all-electric powertrains
- The new 7 Series brings BMW Neue Klasse technology and a more digital cabin
BMW India has opened pre-launch bookings for the all-new 7 Series range in India. Customers can reserve the luxury sedan through BMW’s authorised dealer network or register their interest online.
The new 7 Series range will be offered with both internal combustion and battery-electric powertrains, giving customers the option that best suits their needs.
A very different-looking 7 Series
BMW has given the new 7 Series a more imposing appearance. The sedan gets a monolithic exterior, BMW’s illuminated Iconic Glow kidney grille and minimalist crystal headlights.
It is still unmistakably a 7 Series, but the design is certainly not shy. BMW says the new exterior is intended to give the car a strong visual presence while making it instantly recognisable. The bigger changes, however, are expected inside.
Neue Klasse tech comes to the 7 Series
The cabin combines luxury materials with a more modern design and a heavy dose of technology. BMW says the new 7 Series brings Neue Klasse technology to its luxury sedan range, along with a more extensive digital experience for both the driver and passengers.
BMW hasn’t revealed the complete India-spec variant or powertrain details yet, so there is still plenty left to learn. For now, the message is quite clear, the next 7 Series is going to offer traditional petrol-powered luxury alongside BMW’s electric future.
The launch date has not been confirmed yet, however we should expect an announcement to be made during this month. The BMW 7 series has always been in close competition with the Mercedes Benz S-Class. BMW will add features and technology that would keep them in a close fight with the S-Class. As for the price, we should expect a slight bump over the outgoing model.
