Key highlights
- Volkswagen’s first performance car community weekend will be held on October 10-11
- The event will take place at CoASTT racetrack in Coimbatore
- Owners can participate in lead-and-follow sessions, autocross, slalom and off-road activities
Volkswagen India is introducing VWe (Volkswagen Experiences) Track Day, a new customer-focused platform aimed at bringing owners closer to the brand’s performance-oriented side.
When and where
The first edition will be held on October 10 and 11, 2026, at CoASTT in Coimbatore, a motorsport and driver training facility. The two-day event will bring together owners of Volkswagen’s performance-focused models, including the Golf GTI, Tiguan R-Line, Tayron R-Line, Virtus GT and Taigun GT. Automotive enthusiasts, media representatives and Volkswagen leadership will also be part of the event.
The programme has been designed around both driving experiences and driver development. Participants will get access to lead-and-follow sessions, autocross challenges and slalom exercises, along with off-road obstacle courses, go-karting and vehicle handling demonstrations. Professional instructors will also conduct driving sessions aimed at helping participants better understand vehicle dynamics and build confidence behind the wheel.
Safety
Volkswagen says safety and responsible driving will remain an important part of the programme. Conducting these activities within a professionally managed racetrack environment also gives owners an opportunity to explore their cars’ capabilities away from public roads.
The event will not be limited to track activities. Attendees can take part in technical masterclasses and owner networking sessions, while lifestyle and family-oriented activities will also be organised. The programme includes hospitality areas, interactive brand experiences and recognition of unique owner stories and achievements.
Volkswagen says the Track Day is the first step towards a broader experiential initiative. Future programmes are expected to give customers more opportunities to engage with the brand through curated driving and ownership experiences.
Final thoughts
A dedicated track event gives Volkswagen owners something that regular dealership experiences cannot. It allows enthusiasts to explore vehicle dynamics in a controlled environment while learning from professional instructors. With models ranging from the Virtus GT to the Golf GTI, the first edition should also provide an interesting snapshot of Volkswagen’s performance-focused community in India.
