Bajaj Auto appears to be preparing another update for the Pulsar NS400Z, with an updated motorcycle spotted at a dealership featuring a new TFT instrument cluster. The update is expected to bring a more premium display to Bajaj’s flagship Pulsar naked motorcycle, while the mechanical package is likely to remain unchanged.
What does the new display get?
The new display appears to be the same 5-inch TFT unit that Bajaj has been gradually introducing across its Pulsar range. It first appeared on the Pulsar N160 SS and has since been seen on updated versions of the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150. The Pulsar NS200 and N250 have also been spotted with the same type of display during testing.
The TFT unit should bring a more modern interface compared with the existing LCD console. Bajaj’s newer TFT-equipped Pulsars offer features such as Bluetooth connectivity and smartphone integration, although the exact feature list for the updated NS400Z has not yet been confirmed.
Apart from the instrument cluster, the NS400Z could receive fresh colour options, but there is no indication of significant mechanical changes. The motorcycle is expected to retain its 349.13 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which currently produces 40.6 PS and 33.2 Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The spotted motorcycle also does not appear to receive the upside-down fork seen on some other Pulsar test mules. The NS400Z is therefore expected to continue with its existing suspension setup.
The current Pulsar NS400Z is priced at around ₹1.86 lakh, ex-showroom, and the addition of the TFT display could result in a small price increase. The motorcycle has already reached dealerships, suggesting that the official update and commencement of deliveries could take place shortly.
