BMW has released the first teaser of its next motorcycle in India. The latest teaser shows a streetfighter motorcycle, which is likely to be based on the latest 450 platform. This new motorcycle could be called F 450 R, and it will be sold alongside the new F 450 GS in India.
The teaser image shows the silhouette of this upcoming bike that has a sharp design and a committed riding posture. What we can see are the scooped rider seat, a big sculpted fuel tank, an upright handle, and a steeply raked headlight design. The silhouette also features the same alloy wheel design as the previous G 310 R streetfighter.
Although the brand has not revealed any further details, we can safely say that it will be based on the F 450 GS platform. This means that it will be powered by the 420cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that makes 48 bhp and 43 Nm on the F 450 GS. However, this engine will most likely be re-tuned to suit the streetfighter character.
Another interesting detail is the underbelly exhaust system that gives the new bike a cleaner design profile. Overall, BMW will retain the sporty character of the 450 platform, and it will also come equipped with modern features similar to the F 450 GS ADV.
The F 450 R will most probably offer a big coloured TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, and features like Google Maps mirroring, music controls, ride and traction modes, ride-by-wire throttle, a dual-channel ABS with switchable rear ABS, etc.
BMW has teased the new bike for October 1, 2026. This means that it will be available soon in the Indian market. Considering that the BMW F 450 GS is already steeply priced, we believe that it will undercut the ADV but it will be priced above Rs 4 lakh.
