2027 Kawasaki Z900: New colours, same performance

The new Z900 has landed with visual updates. For MY27, Kawasaki has added White/Green and Grey/Black paint schemes, which replace the MY2026’s Green/Black and Black/Gold paint options.

Apart from the colours, the rest of the motorcycle remains unaltered. However, Kawasaki gave the Z900 nameplate a major makeover in 2025, when the bike received a fresh design and updated electronics and hardware.

With the MY2027 Z900, the streetfighter naked sports bike continues to offer a sharp and upright committed riding stance. The design features dual-pod LED headlights, a sculpted fuel tank with sharp shrouds, rear-set footpegs for the rider, and a lifted tail section with a four-in-one exhaust system.

In terms of electronics, the Z900 packs a 5-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, ride modes, traction modes, switchable ABS, a six-axis IMU that offers cruise control, lean-sensitive ABS, and more. The bike comes with full LED lighting, and the rider can check vital information on the TFT console.

Powering the Z900 is the tried-and-tested 948cc inline-four liquid-cooled motor. This engine offers 124 bhp and 98.6 Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It also gets a slip-assist clutch and a bidirectional quickshifter.

The hardware of the new Z900 includes the Showa USD forks and backlink monoshock rear suspension, dual front disc brakes, 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels, and it uses a high-tensile steel trellis frame.
