The all-new Tiger 1200 dual-sport adventure bike has arrived. The new model has been revealed in the global market, with its India debut scheduled for March 2027. Triumph will offer the new Tiger 1200 in two variants in India: GT Pro and Rally Explorer.

What has changed on the 2027 Triumph Tiger 1200?

New design, more comfort

The first and immediate change that you will notice is the new design. Triumph has revised the fuel tank and fuel tank shrouds, added a new windscreen, and added a new LED projector headlight. These changes now make it fresh and sharper than earlier.

Another interesting change is the wheel setup. The new Tiger 1200 now comes with a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel as standard across all variants. This has resulted in a change in stance and improved handling. The GT trims get the alloy wheels, while the Rally trims come with the tubeless spoked wheels.

Revised engine with more power

Meanwhile, its 1,160cc inline-three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine now makes 8 bhp more than before. The new model is rated at 158 bhp and 130 Nm. The peak torque is also achieved at lower RPMs than before, improving tractability.

The cylinder head design has been redesigned, and so have the pistons, exhaust, exhaust valves, lighter intake, and a more precise fuel injection system. The 6-speed gearbox has also undergone a change. It now features revised first three gears and shaft drive.

Other changes to the hardware include the adjustable Showa 49 mm USD forks and a remote-adjustable rear monoshock. The bike also features a self-lowering suspension that reduces the seat height by 30 mm when the bike comes to a stop.

The Pro variants come with the 20-litre fuel tank, while the Rally version gets the bigger 30-litre tank. The riding position has also been revised. For example, the handle is now positioned 10 mm higher and 10 mm wider, which offers more comfort.

The new Tiger 1200 also features a new front and rear radar system. This adds an adaptive cruise control system, group ride assist, forward collision warning, emergency brake assist, and blind spot assist. A new 7-inch colour TFT screen adds features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

India launch date and price

Triumph has announced that the new Tiger 1200 will be launched in India in March 2027. The current model is priced at Rs 19.39 lakh onwards. The new model will surpass this price tag due to the new feature additions.
