- Norton 450 Urban unveiled
- To be sold in two variants
- Powered by a new 454cc liquid-cooled engine
Norton Motorcycles has unveiled its latest single-cylinder concept model at EICMA 2026. The new 450 Urban marks a new era for the company in the rapidly growing 450cc segment. This platform will offer two models initially, including a roadster-styled street naked and a scrambler-styled version.
The 450 Urban is based on a new 450cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. This engine offers 47 bhp and 45 Nm, and it is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Norton has tuned this engine for low-end torque and linear acceleration.
Both versions of the 450 Urban are suspended over an aluminium frame. The suspension duties are covered by fully adjustable 43 mm KYB USD forks and a KYB monoshock at the rear with preload and rebound adjustment. Moreover, both variants ride on 17-inch alloy wheels and tubeless tyres, while the braking duty is done by a 320 mm front and a 240 mm rear disc brake.
Speaking of the design, the roadster-inspired model gets a radical styling. This styling could be a hit or miss among customers globally. The fascia gets a wraparound LED headlamp with a sharper design and a low-slung headlamp cowl. Meanwhile, the fuel tank is extended by more than half the length of the bike, along with the aluminium frame.
The Scrambler-styled version gets an upright riding stance, black rims, extended mudguards, knuckle guards, fork protectors, and a flyscreen. The list of features is also extensive on both versions. Both variants get LED lights, an 8-inch TFT console, a six-axis IMU offering cruise control, three ride modes, and traction control.
With that said, the production-spec model will be the same as the displayed model at the EICMA 2026. While Norton has not announced the launch timeline, online reports hint that the 450 Urban could be introduced in the global and Indian markets by mid-2027.
