Key highlights
- BSA launches Scrambler 650 starting at Rs 3.24 lakh
- Gets a 650cc single-cylinder engine with 45bhp and 55Nm
- Inspired by classic BSA scramblers with modern upgrades
Alongside Yezdi, BSA has brought something old-school to the table. The new BSA Scrambler 650 is here, and it starts at Rs 3.24 lakh. It’s here for riders who like their motorcycles with a bit more muscle and a lot more presence.
Old-school design
The Scrambler 650 leans heavily on BSA’s legacy. You can see it in the details. The sculpted tank, chrome bits, flat ribbed seat, and exposed subframe all come together to give it that classic scrambler stance. It looks like something from the past, but built with modern finish and precision.
Powertrain and equipment
This bike runs a 650cc single-cylinder engine, same as the Goldstar. It produces 45bhp and 55Nm, with torque kicking in early at 4,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission which might ick a few customers.
This isn’t about chasing top speed. It’s about that relaxed, torque-heavy riding style where you just roll the throttle and go.
BSA says the bike gets India-specific tweaks. That should help with comfort and handling across different road conditions. The Scrambler setup includes larger wheels, longer suspension travel, and an upright riding posture. It’s designed to handle bad roads without making a fuss.
Variants and colours
- Raven Black – Rs 3,24,950
- Victor Yellow – Rs 3,32,950
- Thunder Grey – Rs 3,40,950
Ownership package
Just like Yezdi, BSA offers a 4-year or 50,000 km warranty, extendable up to 6 years. Roadside assistance and AMC packages are also included.
Our thoughts
This is a very different kind of Scrambler. While most bikes in this space chase lightness and agility, the BSA goes the other way. It focuses on torque, presence, and that old-school riding feel. Not everyone wants a hyperactive bike. Some riders just want something that feels solid, sounds good, and pulls cleanly. If that’s your vibe, this one makes a strong case.
