Citroen Basalt X gets expensive by up to Rs 40,000

Citroen India has announced the latest price hike for the Basalt X coupe SUV. Check out the variant-wise price hike details below.

Citroen Basalt X April 2026 price hike details

The latest price hike has made the Basalt X expensive by up to Rs 40,000. The complete range of the coupe SUV has undergone a Rs 40,000 hike, save for the 1.2 MT Plus variant, which has become expensive by Rs 37,000.

The Basalt X range now starts at Rs 8.55 lakh (ex-showroom). Mind you, the Basalt X is based on the Basalt itself, but it gets more features, including the redesigned interior with dual-tone leather upholstery, auto-dimming IRVM, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, ventilated front seats, and push-button start/stop.

Powering the Basalt X is the 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, petrol engine that churns out 110 bhp (turbo) and 82 bhp (non-turbo) in two guises. The former is available with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox, while the latter comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The latest price range of the Basalt X is Rs 8.55-13.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
