What to expect from the Renault Bridger SUV?

The upcoming Bridger will be a B-SUV as it will measure less than 4m. After revealing its prototype images a few weeks ago, the brand has now revealed its powertrain details.

The Bridger SUV will feature a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbo petrol engine. This engine is likely going to be sourced from the global-spec Renault Clio 6. This unit makes a healthy output of 113.4 bhp, which shall be enough for the Bridger to compete with rivals like the Tata Punch Turbo and the upcoming Mahindra Vision S.

The Bridger will be revealed in India early next year at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2027. It will be manufactured in India and exported to the international market.

The prototype images have revealed its exterior design. It will boast a conventional SUV outlook with modern styling cues like the dual-LED DRLs, illuminated Renault lettering, flared wheel arches, and more.

Renault also plans to introduce a fully electric version of the Bridger, which will make it even more attractive for buyers in India. More details about the electric Bridger will get revealed with time. We expect that the Bridger will be launched in India around Rs 15 lakh next year.
