Headfox helmets has launched a new smart helmet in India, called Tarmac. The new Tarmac smart helmet is equipped with a built-in Bluetooth system that comes paired with a subwoofer and supports features like navigation commands, call support, SMS alerts, and various audio outputs.
Headfox is a new entrant in the Indian helmet market, offering a wide range of half-face and full-face helmets with new technologies like a built-in Bluetooth system, etc. The Tarmac helmet is a full-face model that is designed to offer everyday comfort, practicality, safety, and connectivity.
Headfox is offering the Tarmac smart helmet at Rs 6,999. However, there is a special pre-booking discount offer on the manufacturer’s website, which states a flat discount of Rs 500 if you pre-book this helmet. This brings the effective price of the Tarmac helmet to Rs 6,499, placing it fairly against other built-in Bluetooth helmets like Studds and Vega.
Speaking of safety, the Tarmac helmet is DOT and ISI-certified, which makes it suitable and safe as per Indian riding conditions. It comes with a conventional chin strap, which adds to its practicality and ease of ingress/egress. The brand also states that the Tarmac helmet comes with adaptive padding that reshapes to the rider’s head, thus providing utmost comfort.
Further, the Tarmac helmet gets four-beacon lighting with various modes that alert trailing traffic in low-light conditions like night, rain, fog, etc. With that said, buyers can purchase the Tarmac helmet in Medium, Large, and Extra Large size options. Ironically, the brand does not offer a Small size option.
Customers can now purchase the Tarmac helmet model through the brand’s official website. A pre-order needs to be placed, and the helmet will be delivered to your doorstep.
