Hyundai Motor India has quietly discontinued the i20 N-Line N6 DCT variant of the sporty hatchback in India, effectively narrowing the automatic lineup. This means buyers looking for the dual-clutch automatic gearbox will now have to step up to the more expensive N8 trim.

What exactly has changed?

Until now, the i20 N Line offered the convenience of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox on both N6 and N8 trims. With the N6 DCT gone, the automatic option is now limited to the fully-loaded N8 variant. The standard N6 manual continues unchanged.

Here’s how the updated lineup now looks:

It remains one of the more engaging premium hatchbacks in the segment, especially if you enjoy a bit of enthusiasm in your daily commute.

The i20 N Line continues to rival performance-oriented premium hatchbacks and sporty compact offerings.

Its key competition includes:

  • Tata Altroz Racer
  • Higher variants of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx Turbo
  • Turbo variants of the Hyundai Venue N Line

The i20 N Line still holds its own thanks to sharp styling, strong feature list, and polished road manners.
