The Indraprastha Gas Limited, or IGL, has announced the second price correction of Rs 1/kg on the CNG fuel. The CNG vehicles will now have to shell out more than Rs 80 per kg in Delhi for the first time ever since CNG was introduced.

IGL CNG price in Delhi hiked once again – Here’s why
As announced by the company, the CNG prices in all of the GA’s, or Geographical Areas, have been increased by Rs 1/kg w.e.f. 6 am, 17 May, 2026. This is the second price hike in the CNG rates by IGL in the previous two days.
With that said, the latest CNG price in Delhi is now recorded at Rs 80.09/kg. Meanwhile, the nearby cities have also undergone the second price correction. The latest rates of the CNG in NCR are as follows:
- Noida/Greater Noida – Rs 88.70/kg
- Gurugram – Rs 85.12/kg
- Ghaziabad – Rs 88.70/kg
- Meerut – Rs 88.58/kg
- Karnal – Rs 84.43/kg
- Rewari – Rs 84.70/kg
- Kaithal – Rs 85.43/kg
- Hapur – Rs 89.70/kg
- Ajmer – Rs 89.44/kg
- Sonepat – Rs 86.42/kg
IGL has released a press statement, where the brand has claimed that the rising costs and the consistently strengthening US Dollar exchange rate have led the brand to make the second price revision. However, IGL also says that despite the second price correction, CNG still offers up to 45% lesser running costs as compared to the ICE fuels.
