Key highlights
- Kia cars to get pricier in India from next month
- Entire range of Kia cars will become expensive
- Maximum price hike announced by up to 2 per cent
Kia has announced a new price hike for its entire range in India. The upcoming price hike will take effect immediately nationwide from July 1, 2026.
As per the brand, it will hike the prices by up to 2 per cent, depending on the model. The reason cited behind this price correction is the consistently increasing input costs, raw material costs, transportation costs, and the weakening of the Indian currency against the foreign exchange rates.
With that said, the brand will also hike the prices of its electric cars, which currently includes the Carens Clavis EV. Other models include the Sonet, Seltos, Carens Clavis, and the Carnival MPV. Kia is also working on new models, which are set to launch by next year in India. These includes the new-gen Sonet compact SUV and the Syros EV.
