Key highlights
- KTM launches 350cc versions of 390 Duke and 390 Adventure
- Prices start at Rs 2.77 lakh and Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom)
- Lower GST helps bring down entry priceĀ
KTM has introduced new 350cc variants of the 390 Duke and 390 Adventure to make them more accessible.
New engine, lower price
The new 350cc variants benefit from the 18% GST bracket. That helps KTM price the 390 Duke at Rs 2.77 lakh and the 390 Adventure at Rs 2.80 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. This makes a noticeable difference. These bikes were always on the wish list for many riders. Now, they are a bit easier to reach.
Even the performance figures remain strong. The new 350cc engine produces 41.5 PS and 33.5 Nm. The previous 399cc engine produced 46.6 PS and 39 Nm of peak torque. That is a drop of 5 PS and 2 Nm.
What stays the same
KTM hasnāt changed what really matters. The bikes retain their core character. You still get the same chassis, same geometry, and the same riding setup.
The Duke continues to feel sharp and aggressive. The Adventure continues to balance touring and light off-road use.
You can still buy the bigger engine variant
The bigger 399cc versions are not going anywhere. The Duke R, Adventure R, Adventure S and Adventure X will continue to get the older engine. However, since they fall in the 40% GST bracket, the prices have gone up.

This means buyers now have more choice. You can enter at a lower price or go for the higher-spec versions.
KTM is sticking to the same nomenclature of the 390-series. What you need to know is, that if there is no alphabet suffix after the name of the model, it is equipped with the 350cc engine. If it has an alphabet (R,X,S) at the end of its name, it is equipped with the 399cc engine.
