Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 new side stand details

Revealed in a latest social media video by a motorcycle content creator, the Himalayan 450 owners can now upgrade their steeply raked side stand with a new side stand that offers a lower lean angle. This issue has been consistent with all Himalayan 450 owners since the launch of the bike, and now the existing owners can solve it by paying Rs 3,250 extra and fitting the new side stand.

As far as the new motorcycles are concerned, Royal Enfield is yet to officially reveal whether the new side stand will come as standard or will be offered as an accessory. Given the fact that the Himalayan 450 weighs 196kg dry, it is a heavy motorcycle, especially with fuel and luggage strapped on, which is the most common use case for riders. Therefore, the current side stand often creates problems, especially when the bike is parked roadside or in loose sand/gravel.

In other news, Royal Enfield is working on a range of new 750cc models, which will be introduced later this year. Even the 650cc models like the Continental GT650 will get a revamp with new features, new colours, and improved riding experience.
