Tata Motors has introduced the Sierra #DARK, giving its recently launched premium mid-size SUV an all-black makeover. Prices start at Rs 13.99 lakh, ex-showroom, with the #DARK treatment available across six personas and multiple petrol and diesel powertrain combinations.
What’s new?
The Sierra #DARK gets a Friesian Black exterior with an all-black leatherette cabin finished in a Violet Eclipse theme. The most distinctive element is the use of purple chrome detailing, which adds contrast to the otherwise black treatment. Tata says the changes are intended to give the Sierra a more sophisticated and exclusive appearance while retaining its existing silhouette and feature package.
The #DARK edition is available across the Pure L, Pure L (O), Pure+ L, Adventure+ L, Accomplished and Accomplished+ personas. This means buyers can opt for the darker styling across a broad portion of the Sierra range rather than being restricted to a single top-spec variant.

The Sierra’s existing powertrain choices continue unchanged with the #DARK edition. These include the 1.5-litre Revotron petrol, 1.5-litre Hyperion turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engines. Transmission availability varies depending on the persona and engine combination.
The #DARK edition therefore focuses primarily on visual differentiation rather than mechanical changes. Tata is carrying over the Sierra’s existing feature package while giving buyers another styling option within the newly introduced Legend Series.
