TVS Raider Doctor Doom Edition: What is special?
The new Doctor Doom Edition of the Raider 125 commuter features the visual changes mainly related to its colour and graphics combination. Since this variant is inspired by the comic character Doctor Doom, TVS has embedded the same colour scheme as Doctor Doom’s character to appeal to new buyers.
The bike features a new Spectral Green paint that shifts between green and black depending on the lighting conditions it is viewed in. It is accentuated by the green highlights on all body panels, including the headlight cowl, fuel tank shrouds, side panels, and fuel tank. Furthermore, the green graphics get a contrasting silver accent, which is inspired by the armour of Doctor Doom. There is also a silver mask of Doctor Doom that is painted on the fuel tank near the thigh support area.
The mechanical components, including the engine casing, exhaust pipe, alloy wheels, rear shock absorbers, etc, are all draped in a matte black colour similar to the other Super Squad models. Mind you, the Doctor Doom Edition is the fifth addition to the Super Squad Edition models, which already includes the different versions that are inspired by the comic characters like Iron Man, Black Panther, Wolverine, and Deadpool.
Since it is a visual update, the Doctor Doom Edition continues to be powered by the 124.8cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that makes 11.22 bhp and 11.55 Nm. It is paired to a five-speed gearbox. The list of features include LED lights, a TFT console with Bluetooth connectivity, three ride modes (Eco, Power, and Boost), engine traffic start/stop, and TVS Glide Through Traffic.
