Hyundai’s next big product launch will be the next-generation Creta, which is codenamed SX3 internally. The latest spy shots reveal the latest details, including its hybrid engine, AWD, and interior design.

What to expect from the 2027 Hyundai Creta?

The new-gen Creta (SX3) will be based on the same platform as the current Kia Seltos. It will not only grow bigger in size, but the new Creta will also undergo a massive design reform.

The test car spotted in Spain is completely camouflaged, but we can see the new bodyline and an upright stance with a more boxy profile overall. The front fascia hides the new LED headlights, a new grille, and a new bumper, all of which are likely to be inspired by the Art of Steel design language that made its debut on the Boulder SUV concept.

The side profile has also been elongated with a longer wheelbase, new dual-tone alloy wheels, wider mirrors, and a new greenhouse design. Similarly, the rear-quarter design now has a raised roofline, a sporty roof-integrated spoiler, and a short rear bumper overhang, which hints that it will offer a spacious interior.

With the new-gen Creta, Hyundai will focus on interior comfort. While the SUV will remain a five-seater, the elongated wheelbase will add substantial rear seat space. The test car is also seen with the new Pleos Connect central infotainment system and a slim digital driver cockpit that is supported by an augmented reality HUD.

Hyundai is likely to equip its future models with the Pleos infotainment system. The new-gen Creta will also feature new comfort and convenience features like the electric Boss Mode, rear reclining seats, three-zone climate control, new AI-assisted voice commands, over-the-air updates, etc. The ADAS safety features are also likely to be improved on the new Creta.

The specific test car seen in the spy shots is a global-spec model. It was seen testing with the 1.6-litre hybrid engine that is also offered on the Kia Seltos in the international market. Hyundai is likely to bring this engine to India as well. However, the AWD system might not make it to the Indian market.

With that said, the new-gen Creta is slated to debut in India by the first quarter of 2027. It will be launched by mid-2027, and it is likely to get expensive due to the bigger size and new-gen features.
