What to expect from the Honda 0 Series electric SUV?
Honda has showcased its upcoming 0 Zero electric lineup at the ongoing Japan Mobility Show 2025. The lineup includes the 0 Series electric SUV, which is also planned for the Indian market.
Honda has confirmed to a media agency that the 0 Series EV will be brought to India in 2026 as a CBU model to establish its future electric car base. However, the pricing will be premium, and it might fall in the category of the Kia EV6 or the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
Speaking of the car, it is based on an all-new electric platform that is likely to feature 800V architecture. However, the specs are unknown, and it is most likely to get battery options between 80 kWh to 100 kWh.
As per the estimation, the 0 Series SUV will offer a range in the likes of 500 km. It will be offered with an RWD and an AWD option – like all other 0 Zero electric cars.
In terms of design, Honda has kept the simplicity of its design language as it is. However, it gets an MPV-inspired rear-end that has a boxy end to it. This has been done to increase the interior space for the rear passengers.
The exterior design of the 0 Series includes a high-rise SUV stance with a boxy yet streamlined outlook. It features a connected front lightbar and vertical headlights, along with a U-shaped connected taillight and split rear design.
On the inside, Honda has equipped it with a big glass area for better visibility and an airy feel. The light-coloured interior theme is supported by a full-width display monitor on the dashboard.
Honda claims that all of its 0 Zero EVs will be the software-defined vehicles (SDVs). This technology will make use of the autonomous driving features and a new OS called ASIMO that can handle everything from the ECU to the infotainment settings autonomously as per the requirements.
