Porsche Panamera recall due to airbag issue

As per the latest notification details released on the Voluntary Recall Information Section of the SIAM (Society of Indian Automotive Manufacturers), the Panamera sports coupe is suffering from a potential airbag deployment issue.

A total of 158 units sold between 19 July 2023 to 2 September 2025 have been highlighted for this recall. This includes the YAA and YAB models sold in India. The issue reported is related to an incorrect sensor in the airbag system.

As per the details, an incorrectly assigned sensor is leading to a potential delay in the triggering of one airbag, which further leads to a late deployment of the airbag in certain crashes. Before this turns fatal, Porsche has issued a recall for all the units sold with this issue.

Moreover, owners can check their Panamera’s recall details on the www.recall.porsche.com by entering the VIN of their cars. All of the affected car owners are being contacted by the dealerships. The fix will be offered for free of cost, including complementary services at dealership level.
