Eicher Trucks and Buses launches Pro X diesel range

Key highlights

  • Eicher launches the Pro X Diesel for the 2–3.5 tonne small commercial vehicle segment, promising best-in-class mileage.
  • Powered by the all-new E449 diesel engine, it offers a 30,000 km service interval and the largest cargo deck in its class.
  • Designed for farm-to-market, FMCG, e-commerce, and regional logistics operations.

Eicher Trucks and Buses has rolled out a new workhorsem the Pro X Diesel Range and it’s aimed right at India’s buzzing small commercial vehicle market.

This new lineup sits in the 2–3.5 tonne category and is purpose-built for businesses that live and breathe logistics, from farm produce haulers to e-commerce operators. It follows hot on the heels of the Pro X EV’s debut earlier this year, giving buyers the freedom to choose between electric or diesel, depending on what their business demands.

The Pro X Diesel is built at Eicher’s ultra-modern Industry 4.0-enabled Bhopal plant, assembled on an all-women production line. That’s the kind of story you don’t just read; you remember.

Engineered for Efficiency

Under the hood sits the new E449 “X-Factor” diesel engine, fine-tuned to squeeze every kilometre out of every drop of fuel. Eicher claims it delivers the best-in-class fuel efficiency and strong low-end torque ideal for the kind of stop-start, load-heavy driving small business owners face every single day.

It also comes with a 30,000 km service interval, the longest in its segment, and a 10 ft 8 in cargo deck which basically means fewer service visits and more cargo per trip. Whether it’s crates of veggies, cartons of FMCG products, or a truck full of online orders, the Pro X Diesel is built to take it all in stride. Tested across India’s toughest routes, it’s a truck that’s been fine-tuned for real-world reliability rather than brochure bragging rights.

Safety, Comfort, and Connectivity

Eicher’s clearly thought about the people behind the wheel too. The Pro X Diesel gets a crash-tested metallic cabin, D+2 seating, daytime running lamps, and even a driver state monitoring system — the kind of feature that nudges you if it senses fatigue.

And because we live in 2025, it’s not just about steel and diesel — it’s about data too. The truck connects to the My Eicher app, offering live vehicle tracking, predictive diagnostics, and even remote immobilisation through a 24×7 Uptime Centre. It’s less of a truck and more of a logistics assistant with an attitude.
