SHOEI has launched the world’s first head-up display-equipped helmet, which the brand has made in collaboration with EyeLights, a French tech company, to offer next-gen safety for the two-wheeler riders globally.

Branded GT-Air 3 Smart, the new helmet features a nano-OLED display in the visor, which shows important data to the rider on the go. The HUD shows the important stuff like the speed, turn-by-turn navigation, incoming calls, speed cameras, and more.

Moreover, the new HUD system comes as a factory fitment in the helmet, so that the buyers do not have to get into the hustle of setting it up themselves. Other interesting features include noise cancellation, 10 hours of battery life, a premium audio kit, and voice commands with Google and Siri (Apple) voice assistants.

Moreover, the HUD system offers an online and offline mesh with any brand of intercom. The best part? It works to an unlimited distance and speed, without worrying about the line-of-sight communication that most intercoms have.

Being a SHOEI, the GT-Air 3 Smart is a well-built helmet with ECE 22.06 and DOT certification. It also gets the double-D ring strap, while it comes in five colours, including four monotone and a single multi-colour option.

The GT-Air 3 Smart has been priced at 1,199 USD, which makes it roughly around Rs 1.06 lakh in India. Although it is yet to be launched in India, the HUD-equipped helmet is now available across the US, Europe, Australia, and South Asia.
