What to expect from the 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift?
The Brezza facelift is expected to make its debut in India by late 2026. The updated model, which has been recently spotted at a CNG filling station in a camouflaged guise, shows the minor design changes.
The front of the car is likely to get a new bumper and a revised grille, which will eliminate the twin chrome slats of the current model. The creases and body lines look mostly unchanged, but the fenders could undergo minor changes due to the new bumper design.
Moreover, the spy test car has the radar module fixed on its nose, hinting at the ADAS tech. Since the Victoris already has the Level 2 ADAS safety features, we believe it will also come on the Brezza facelift, exclusively on its top variants.
Other notable changes that we saw on the previous spy shots include the new 16-inch black alloy wheels and an underbody CNG tank, which is also similar to the Victoris. The underbody CNG tank will free more space for the cargo area.
Whilst we believe that the Brezza facelift will continue using the current-gen engine options, a few online rumours have been hinting at downsizing of the CNG powertrain to a 1.2-litre engine sourced from Baleno.
We think that if this happens, Maruti will be able to reduce the cost of the CNG variants of the Brezza significantly, thanks to the new GST norms. Since the majority of Brezza sales come from the CNG powertrain, the downsizing will bring huge margins for the brand.
