What to expect from the KTM 390 Adventure R?
The upcoming 390 Adventure R will finally make its entrance in India due to high public demand and repeated customer queries regarding its launch timeline. The Austrian brand, which is now owned by Bajaj, will launch the ‘R’ version of the 390 Adventure in the coming days, and it will be positioned above the standard 390 ADV.
Since it is an ‘R’ spec bike, it features a more hardcore, performance-oriented setup. For starters, it rolls on the bigger 21-inch (front) and 18-inch (rear) tubeless spoke wheels with knobby tyres. Moreover, it gets a longer suspension travel of 230 mm on both ends. Meanwhile, it features a higher ground clearance of 272 mm, while it is 6 kg lighter than the standard 390 ADV.
All these changes, coupled with the 399cc liquid-cooled, 45.3 bhp and 39 Nm powerplant, offer a staggering off-road performance. The suite of electronics and features is likely to remain unchanged on it.
As far as the price expectation is concerned, we suspect that it will cross Rs 4 lakh mark as the 390 Adventure itself is positioned at Rs 3.95 lakh, and the ‘R’ is going to sit above it.
