BMW bikes to become expensive – Here’s why
As announced recently by BMW Motorrad, the prices of all its models in India will undergo an upward revision from January 1, 2026. The reason cited behind this price hike is the unchanged forex rate and the consistent downfall of the INR against the US dollar in the international market.
While the brand is yet to reveal the exact details of the price revision per individual model, the maximum revision will be of up to 6 percent. Additionally, the brand has revealed that the ‘Made-in-India’ products are likely to witness less hike, whilst the top models like R1300 GS will witness more hike due to the CBU route.
However, it will be interesting to note whether this revision will change the final decided price of the new BMW F 450 GS, which is to be launched in January in India. It will be the most affordable GS motorcycle of the brand, and we suspect that it will be priced between Rs 4.5-5.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
