Hyundai has quietly fixed one of the biggest complaints about the Creta Electric. It now supports 100 kW DC fast charging. This pushes the Creta Electric closer to global EV standards. It also makes long drives far less stressful.
What exactly has changed
Hyundai has upgraded the Creta Electric’s charging hardware and software. The car can now accept DC fast charging at up to 100 kW.
On a compatible charger, the battery can go from 10 percent to 80 percent in about 30 minutes. That is nearly half the time it took earlier.
This update applies to new cars rolling out of the factory. Hyundai may also offer it to existing owners through a service upgrade. Details on that are still pending.
