What to expect from the Hyundai compact electric SUV?
It is no secret that Hyundai is working on a new B-SUV, which is set to be sold alongside the Venue. This unnamed SUV will be offered with ICE and EV powertrains, as the latter was recently spotted at a charging station.
Hyundai has already confirmed that this SUV will be a high-volume model, and it is scheduled to be launched in 2027. As seen in the spy shots, the test car bears a boxy silhouette, which shall translate in a spacious cabin.
Moreover, the big glass area is accentuated by the functional roof rails and wide mirrors with 360-degree camera fitment. The test mule also has the dual-tone aerodynamic alloy wheels, which are expected to offer improved performance.
While the interiors are yet to be spied, we suspect that it will feature the new three-spoke steering wheel and the connected display like the new-gen Venue. Moreover, it will be a feature-loaded EV, possibly featuring Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, ambient lights, and more advanced features.
On the powertrain front, we suspect it to feature similar battery options as the Hyundai Inster EV. These shall include a 42 kWh and a 49 kWh variant. The maximum range on offer could be upwards of 370 km.
This unnamed EV will be launched next year in India, and it will rival the Tata Nexon EV and the upcoming Kia Syros EV.
