What to expect from the Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift?
The latest spy shots of a test car show that the Baleno facelift is underway. Baleno has been one of Maruti’s top-selling models, and it received a generation change a few years ago.
The upcoming updated model is likely to feature a revised front fascia, which is visible in the spy shots. The primary changes include a sleeker grille, new LED headlamps, and a new front bumper.
Unlike the front, the side and the rear profile look largely unchanged, save for the new LED taillights and a new rear bumper. Expect the mid-spec and top-spec variants to get the new design alloy wheels.
A faint look of the inside shows a bigger infotainment screen similar to the Maruti Victoris. We assume that the dashboard and centre console design will get minor tweaks, while a new cabin dual-tone theme will refresh the interior.
While it is highly unlikely that Maruti will change the engine options on the Baleno facelift, which currently include the 1.2-litre petrol and CNG powertrains, it can possibly get the 1.0-litre turbo petrol from Fronx on certain trims.
As of now, there is not much known regarding its launch timeline. It is possible that Maruti can launch the Baleno facelift next year.
