BMW S 1000 RR, M 1000 RR M2-themed edition details
The newly introduced M2-themed editions of the BMW flagship sportsbike are exclusively available in the South African market. BMW Motorrad has tied up with the BMW cars wing, and the inspiration from the M2 sports car has led to the birth of these special edition models.
As visible in the official photos, the new special edition models feature cosmetic changes only. Both models are draped in a gloss black base paint called Black Strom Metallic, which is accentuated by the red stripe-type graphics on the headlight cowl, side fairing, winglets, and on the alloy wheel sidewalls.
Furthermore, the iconic “M” triple stripe graphic has been painted on the fuel tank, further distinguishing these bikes from the “standard” models. There are “RR” logos on the side fairing that are painted in red colour to dwell in the overall theme of the bike. Additionally, both special edition models come equipped with a full system Akrapovic exhaust as standard fitment.
Apart from these updates, the rest of the bikes are unchanged. Sadly, these are specific to the South African market only, and that too in the limited numbers.
