Hero MotoCorp has introduced a new variant of the Vida VX2 electric scooter. The new version, called Go FB, features technical changes, and it is positioned above the entry-level Go variant.
Hero Vida VX2 Go FB: Everything to know before buying it
The new VX2 Go FB is now available at Rs 1.13 lakh (ex-showroom) nationwide. It is the latest second-to-base variant in the Vida VX2 series. The biggest change that the Go FB brings is a fixed 3.1 kWh battery pack. Unlike other Vida variants that feature a removable battery, this one offers a more conventional technical layout.
This battery pack is paired to a 6 kW electric motor that is mounted on the swingarm. Hero claims that the Go FB has been designed for long distances, as it features an IDC-claimed range of up to 128 km. This is a big upgrade from the Go variant, which features a 93 km IDC-claimed range. The additional range will be especially beneficial for buyers who have fewer charging options nearby. Moreover, the Go FB variant can reach up to a top speed of 70 km/h, which is at par with the conventional 125cc scooters sold in the Indian market.
In terms of styling, it looks similar to the Go variant. The overall design silhouette has been retained, which includes a relaxed riding position, a lower-positioned LED headlight with daytime running lights, alloy wheels, a front disc brake, a single seat, a pillion backrest, and more. Features include a 4.3-inch LCD digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity for smartphones, offering turn-by-turn navigation, SMS/call alerts, and more options.
Hero has commenced bookings of the new Vida VX2 Go FB nationwide, and deliveries are expected to commence shortly. The new Vida VX2 Go FB competes with the TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak electric scooters in India.
