Royal Enfield is soon going to introduce a new version of the Classic 350, likely to be called the Gorkha Edition. This new model was recently leaked online, spied at a dealership yard in showroom-ready condition.

What to expect from the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition?

As the name suggests, the Gorkha Edition is inspired by the iconic Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army. Hence, the bike is draped in a beautiful paint shade of matte military green/olive.

To further enhance its special looks, it features contrasting black spoke wheels with chrome spokes and tube tyres. Meanwhile, the engine casing, exhaust, and mirrors feature chrome treatment, giving it the proper look of a military bike.

The side toolbox and fuse box panels get the Gorkha Edition decals with the twin Gorkha knives, the latter being the USP of the Gorkha Regiment. Overall, the new special edition motorcycle features cosmetic revisions that align it better with the Indian Army vehicles.

Since it is a cosmetically revamped edition, we can safely say that it will not feature any other changes. The Classic 350 continues to offer the cult design with an upright riding posture, twin split seats, a comfortable suspension, and a retro appeal with the iconic exhaust thump.

Powering the Classic 350 is the J-series 349cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. This engine makes 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm, and it is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The tuning of this engine is to deliver a linear and torque-rich power delivery. Most riders like the Classic 350’s mid-range performance and its ability to climb the higher Himalayan passes with ease.

With that said, it features a halogen headlight and an analogue instrument console with an LCD screen to display the necessary information. There is also a circular pod that offers the Tripper Navigation, which can be had as an optional accessory.

Royal Enfield is expected to launch the new Classic 350 Gorkha Edition in the coming days. It could be priced around Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom), just below the range-topping Chrome variant.
