Bengaluru based startup, E3 Electric.AI has launched the E3 Trion, which it claims is India’s first intelligent electric scooter powered by AI-led predictive technology.
Prices start at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru) for the base C1 variant. The C1x is priced at Rs 1.09 lakh, while the range-topping C2 costs Rs 1.20 lakh.
The Trion is available in three variants, but the biggest difference between them is the battery setup and performance.
Two battery options
The C1 gets a removable 2.3 kWh LFP battery, making it easier to charge at home or even away from a charging point. The C1x and C2 use a larger 3 kWh fixed LFP battery.
E3 claims an IDC range of 165 km for the C1x, while the C2 focuses more on performance. It has a claimed top speed of 82 kmph and can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 6 seconds.
All versions use a PMSM hub motor, with the battery and motor architecture designed around E3’s modular platform. The company says the batteries are engineered for up to eight years of real-world use.
AI Powered
The more interesting part of the Trion is its technology. E3 has built what it calls the E3 COMMANDCENTER, which monitors the scooter and uses connected data to predict potential issues.
The system includes AI HealthScan, which claims to complete diagnostics in 10 seconds, along with predictive reports, charging insights and a Smart Trip Planner with charger locations. Riders also get remote battery monitoring, vehicle controls, geo-fencing, SOS assistance and a dashcam.
The scooter gets a 5-inch display, connected navigation and smartphone integration. E3 has also paid attention to everyday practicality, with up to 52 litres of combined storage across the boot, floorboard and glovebox. Other hardware includes 14-inch wheels, IP67 weather protection, dual-projector LED headlamps and a telescopic front suspension setup.
The E3 Trion is currently available for pre-booking in Bengaluru, with deliveries and availability in other markets expected to follow. With its combination of removable battery technology, connected features and AI-based diagnostics, E3 is clearly trying to make the Trion more than just another electric scooter.
